Wind and rain can cause fallout to spread far away from the blast site. You’d need to immediately get in a fallout shelter to avoid getting poisoned. The radioactive debris then falls back to the earth, contaminating everything it touches. The fireball would shoot miles into the atmosphere – pulling dirt and debris with it. This door base over 30" tall will have a door 32" wide and 32" long with ladder-type steps going down into the shelter.If a nuclear bomb were to hit, the blast would create a massive fireball which would vaporize everything nearby. Any door base that extends above the top of the shelter more than the standard 30" base, has to be hauled separately from the shelter. The top of the shelter will be approximately 30" below ground.
